PM wishes people of Nagaland on statehood day
Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended wishes to the people of Nagaland on its statehood day on Thursday.
Nagaland, a border state in the northeast, is a diverse region and is home to many tribes. It became a state on December 1, 1963.
In a tweet PM Modi said that India takes great pride in the culture of Nagaland, which emphasises on courage, hard work, and living in harmony with nature.
The prime minister expressed his prayers for Nagaland’s continued progress in the years to come.
Home Minister Amit Shah also extended greetings to the people of Nagaland on their statehood day.
Taking to Twitter, the Home Minister said On their Statehood Day, his best wishes to the people of Nagaland.
He claimed that the state is blessed with incredible natural beauty, a wealth of customs, and a diverse population.
The home minister also called for the state to keep achieving new milestones in growth and advancement.
