Guwahati: In a major haul, a massive consignment of cannabis has been seized by the Assam Rifles from Mungiakami in West Tripura district.
Based on specific input, Assam Rifles along with Tripura Police conducted a joint operation and seized the cannabis.
During operation, 386 kg cannabis was recovered.
It is suspected that the market value of the seized cannabis is Rs 1.5 crores.
Meanwhile, one person has been arrested in connection with the seizure.
The arrestee identified as Lalan Roy.
Moreover, police officials also seized the vehicle that was use to smuggle the drugs.
The accused has been handed over to Mungiakami Police for legal proceedings and further investigation.
