Registrar, Chief Warden Being Questioned In DU Ragging Case

Guwahati: Dibrugarh University’s Registrar and Chief Warden were being questioned in relation to the institution’s most recent ragging incident.

According to reports, a high-level committee was established by the institution to look into the serious issue.

Dr. Paramananda Sonowal and Prof. Kalyan Bhuyan have been identified as the registrar and head warden, respectively.

A few days ago, Anand Sarma, a student in the business department, was forced to leap off a two-story building to escape physical and verbal abuse by seniors committed in the name of ragging.

He broke his backbone and suffered severe wounds.

He underwent successful surgery earlier today. The procedure was carried out under the skilled supervision of Dr. Pannalal, a specialist. He underwent surgery to repair his broken backbone, which was sustained after he leaped from his hostel’s second floor to escape senior staff ragging.
