Guwahati: In a sensational incident, a mother and a daughter were found dead at a rented house in Guwahati on Friday.
The tragedy took place at Sijubari Chariali in Hatigaon.
The body of the mother along with her 7-year-old reportedly died by suicide.
According to reports, the duo died hanging from the ceiling.
According to a video that went viral before the woman killed herself, she claimed that her husband had physically and emotionally abused her.
She said, “I didn’t get peace while I was alive, please pray for me to get peace after I die.”
Her husband would prowl about and beat her under the influence of his relatives when they were at home alone at night.
Meanwhile, the police have reached the spot.
The husband reported to the authorities that the duo killed them after he left for work.
The husband removed the bodies before the cops arrived.
Her husband, Azad Ali, has been arrested by the police on the basis of claims made in the video.
