Guwahati: The Kamrup District administration carried an eviction drive on 50 bighas of land in the Guwahati city on December 4 in an effort to clear cattle grazing grounds of encroachments.
The eviction drive carried out at Chandrapur area of the city.
While speaking to media, a land revenue official said, “We have started the eviction process and have urged people not to encroach this land. This is a pastureland and is meant for the cattle, not for humans.”
