Actor Cliff Emmich ‘Little House on the Prairie’ Is No More
Guwahati: The popular actor of ‘Little House on the Prairie’ Cliff Emmich passed away at the age of 85 due to lung cancer.
This was confirmed by the actor’s representative to Fox News.
The representative’s statement that “My client and friend for over fifty years lost his battle with lung cancer” was cited by the news source. He passed away in his Valley Village home on Monday.
According to reports, Emmich was raised in California after being born in Ohio in the year 1936.
The actor who made his screen debut in the 1969 film Gaily, Gaily, starred in more than 90 films and television programmes during the course of his career, as per reports. In the 1973 film “Payday,” which featured honky tonk singer Maury Dann travelling in the backseat of a Cadillac, he was best known for his role as Chicago.
Emmich then went on to play a Western Union security guard in the 1974 film “Thunderbolt and Lightfoot,” alongside co-stars Clint Eastwood and Jeff Bridges.
Emmich continued to play the security officer he had previously played in “Halloween II” in 1981.
He also played “The Candy Man,” a forger, in the two-part “Fonzie’s Funeral” episode of “Happy Days” from 1979.
Reportedly, Michael Landon wrote a portion just for Emmich for “Little House on the Prairie’s” fifth season. He played a middle-aged man in the episode “The Man Inside” who was bashful and humiliated and whose daughter hated him. It seemed to be one of his favourite portions, according to him.
The adored actor also appeared in “Barracuda,” “Starsky and Hutch,” “Murder, She Wrote,” and “Walker, Texas Ranger” in addition to these.
