Guwahati: Violent clashes between two groups in East Imphal district of Manipur.
The incident occurred at Telipati in East imphal.
According to reports, the clash broke out over a religious site issue.
Reportedly, 4 vehicles were vandalized and 1 burnt down after a clash erupted.
Police forces arrived at the scene immediately to bring the situation under control. The police resorted to use tear gas shells to disperse the rioters. The situation still continues to be tense.
Meanwhile, Section 144 has been implemented in Telipati and one company of the CRPF has been deployed.
