Agniveer Recruitment Rally receives enthusiastic response In West Bengal
Guwahati: The Indian Army’s Agnipath Program’s first-ever North Bengal Agniveer Recruitment Rally came to an end on December 6 at the Sevoke Road Military Station in Siliguri.
The Trishakti Corps, in conjunction with the Jalpaiguri District’s civil administration and the Army Recruiting Office in Siliguri arranged the rally which got underway on November 29, 2022.
Due to the COVID pandemic, the rally was held after almost two years. Nearly 2,000 youth from eight districts in North Bengal participated in the rally with great enthusiasm.
Long lines of young guys were seen at the rally braving the brisk morning air as they raced against the clock to finish the required 1.6 KM run in five and a half minutes.
The Indian Army’s Agnipath Scheme is a ground-breaking and transformative Human Resources Management effort designed to turn it into a combat force that is prepared for the future.
The candidates who passed the screening at the rally will now show up for the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) which is scheduled to take place at Sevoke Road Military Station in January 2023. After passing the CEE, the candidates will be sent to their respective Training Centers and enrolled in the Indian Army.
