AAP to contest on 25 seats in Mizoram assembly elections 2023

Guwahati: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has said that it will run candidates for at least 25 of the 40 seats in the upcoming assembly elections in Mizoram.

Senior Mizoram AAP leader Andrew Lalremkima informed while addressing the media on Friday.

He said that the party is looking for deserving candidates throughout the state of Mizoram who would win the polls and be well-liked by the electorate.

The Mizoram AAP leader stated, “We are looking for brave and honourable individuals who could be fielded as candidates in the assembly elections.”

The senior Mizoram AAP leader said that the leading party leaders from Delhi would run election campaigns in Mizoram the next year.

“Our leaders in Delhi, including party founder Arvind Kejriwal, will campaign for our candidates,” he said.

This announcement by the Mizoram AAP unit just one day after the AAP won 13% of the vote in the Gujarat elections.
