Guwahati: Palashbari in Assam’s Kamrup rural region on Friday morning reported finding the carcass of a wild elephant.
According to sources, the tusker was found dead in the Sontola district of Palashbari; the reason of death has not yet been determined.
In the meantime, the locals are in a gloomy mood as many of them place wreaths on the deceased animal made of the customary gamusa, agarbattis, and flowers.
Additionally, forest officials arrived at the location to evaluate the issue.
