Guwahati: A massive fire broke out at Tezpur in Sonitpur district of Assam on Thursday night and engulfed around nine business establishments in the area.
The incident was reported from Mission Chariali area at around 11pm.
Property worth around Rs 50 lakh got damaged in the fire.
The cause of the fire is suspected to be due to a short circuit.
Upon receiving information, fire tenders rushed to the spot and were able to douse the fire with the help of locals.
No injury or casualty was reported.
