Guwahati: A residence in Hengerabari area of Guwahati was reduced to ashes due to an earthen lamp.
The incident was reported at Maneshwar Narzary’s home in Shankardev Nagar in the city’s Hengerabari area.
Reports claim that the clay lamp that was lighted in the home’s temple area caused the fire to start. The fire spread further after a cylinder exploded.
Later, neighbours arrived on the scene and managed to put out the fire, although reports further stated that the house had been completely destroyed.
No injury or casualty was reported in the incident.
