Mizoram Urges Citizens to Follow COVID-19 Appropriate Behaviour Behind Rising Cases
Guwahati: Health officials in Mizoram on Tuesday urged everyone to follow the COVID-19 recommended behaviours such as hand washing, avoiding close contact with others, and wearing a face mask.
Reports state that a conference of health officials was organised as a result of the concern over the new strain that is currently spreading over many nations.
The state’s health officials instructed all hospitals to closely screen patients exhibiting signs of COVID-19 and the common cold (influenza) to guarantee that more samples are examined.
All government hospitals undertook a simulated drill earlier that day after Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya declared a national mock drill.
It should be noted that the Sikkim government issued a warning mandating the use of face masks in public areas in response to an unexpected rise in Covid-19 cases internationally and growing concern from the Central government.
The Sikkim government has issued a fresh Covid-19 advisory as a preventative measure before the start of the New Year celebrations in an effort to reduce the likelihood of a new viral epidemic.
Moreover, the government’s guidelines advised citizens to follow other rules, such as keeping a minimum social distance in public spaces.
