Guwahati: Assam Police on Wednesday successfully foiled cattle smuggling bid at South Salmara-Mankachar district along the Indo-Bangladesh border.
Four cattle heads were reportedly rescued from a truck that was intercepted by police as they were patrolling at Moinabanda road.
However, the smugglers escaped from the spot after seeing the police team.
Meanwhile, necessary follow-up action has been initiated and further investigation is on into the matter.
