Book on Assam CM is Released by Former CJI Ranjan Gogoi
Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma’s first year in office is chronicled in the book “Mukhyamantrir Diary 1,” which was published on Thursday by former Chief Justice of India and Rajya Sabha member Ranjan Gogoi.
Speaking at the event, the Assam Chief Minister stated that the book included descriptions of the daily tasks he conducted as a Chief Minister without putting his private life in the spotlight.
He described himself as a fortunate Chief Minister who was able to focus on developmental initiatives since he did not have to deal with any challenging circumstances, such as the devastating earthquake of 1950, the Indo-China War of 1962, or the Assam Agitation. His journal essentially chronicled the state’s growth endeavors throughout the previous 11 months.
Without going against the sanctity of the oath of office he took upon accepting the position of Chief Minister, he claimed, he listed the daily development activities he carried out in that capacity.
He said that he would publish further editions of his diary throughout the course of the following four years. In addition, CM Sharma praised India Ranjan Gogoi, a former Chief Justice, for publishing the book.
Speaking at the event, former Indian Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi stated that he has known Dr. Sarma for a long time. Dr. Sarma abandoned the practice of law and entered politics, according to Justice Gogoi, who was speaking in reference to their interactions while he was a lawyer. As a result, the legal community has lost a skilled attorney. But politics is doing better.
