Guwahati: A gang of miscreants brutally trashed and killed a youth in Kokrajhar district of Assam on Tuesday night.
The incident was reported from Besimari village.
The victim youth have been identified as Mantoj Ali.
According to reports, Mantoj was called upon at a spot via telephone and was allegedly beaten by a group of 4-5 men, resulting in him sustaining grievous injuries.
Upon receiving information, local police arrived at the spot and found the youth lying in a pool of blood. On the other hand, he passed away from his wounds while his route to the hospital.
Four people were taken into custody in relation to the incident. The reason behind the attack is yet to be established.
Further questioning is underway.
