Drivers in Pobitora Are In anger By Govt Officials’ Disruptive Behaviour
Guwahati: The Drivers Association of Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary has written a letter to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressing their displeasure with the actions of government employees.
This comes after the Assam Chief Minister constantly urged government employees to uphold and exhibit moral principles. In the aforementioned event, on Sunday during a jeep tour at Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, bureaucrats argued and abused the jeep drivers.
IAS and IPS level officials, as well as a representative of the electoral commission, were among the government representatives that visited the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, according to multiple reports.
The Drivers Association has now complained to the Assam CM about the disorderly conduct of the government employees in connection with the issue.
In the complaint, it was claimed that the officials had threatened the jeep drivers and told them to stop the safari so they could dance.
The drivers have asserted that the authorities involved in the incident were smoking within the Sanctuary campus and were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the occurrence. They allegedly threatened the forest officials as well when they spoke up to denounce their actions.
