Bajrang Dal Burns Effigies of “Islamic radicals” in Uttar Pradesh
Guwahati: The Bajrang Dal convener in UP condemned the death days after the reported violent execution of a Bajrang Dal activist in Karimganj district of Assam.
While addressing to the media, Bajrang Dal convener from Uttar Pradesh, Ankit Pandey said, “In two years this is the second time a Bajrang Dal worker has been killed… we condemned the death and we are burning effigies of Islamic extremists.”
The convener further asserted that the assaults the alleged extremists are planned will not be handled lightly and will spill blood if necessary in order to spread terror.
It should be noted that on January 16, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) declared a pan-Indian two-day demonstration beginning on January 17. The organisation also stated that it would send a memo to the President urging him to take action against those who “provoke” the Muslim minority.
The VHP asserted that “jihadis” were responsible for the death of a Bajrang Dal activist in Assam’s Karimganj and demanded stern punishment.
