Singer Kailash Kher Attacked With Water Bottles During a Concert in Karnataka
Guwahati: Two men are accused of assaulting singer Kailash Kher when they allegedly demanded him to sing a Kannada song and threw a water bottle at him on Sunday evening in Karnataka.
The singer is renowned for contributing his vocals to Teri Deewani and Chand Sifarish among other well-known songs.
The incident occurred during the Hampi Utsav, which began on January 27. The celebration has become a first-of-its-kind occasion since the creation of the new Vijayanagara district. Four stages have been put up for the event, which was inaugurated by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai last week. The main stage is located at Gayatri Peeta, while others are located in Eduru Basavanna Vedike, Hampi Virupaksheshwar Vedike, and Sasuvekalu Vedike.
Apart from Kher, singers like Arjun Jannya, Vijaya Prakash, Raghu Dikshit, Anannya Bhath and Arman Mallik are performing at the festival.
Kailash Kher sang some beautiful sufi melodies in Lucknow for the three-day Uttar Pradesh Diwas two days prior to the concert.
Earlier, Kher was in the news as one of his song clips went viral on social media. It featured a Pakistani groom serenading his bride with the song “Chand Sifarish” from the film Fanaa.
