Tripura DYCM Declares Candidature & Promises BJP Will Focus on its Electoral Platform

Guwahati: The deputy chief minister of Tripuran Jishnu Dev Varma declared on Monday that the only issue on which his party will run in this election is the need for additional development projects for the state’s citizens.

The Union Minister Sarbanada Sonowal for Port, Shipping and Waterways, accompanied DyCM.

DyCM Dev Varma took part in a sizable rally in his assembly which ultimately indicated his chances of winning the seat.

After submitting his nomination papers for the Charilam Assembly Constituency, Deputy Chief Minister Dev Varma told reporters that there is a good chance the BJP will win the majority of seats because the party is committed to advancing development.

“BJP never do politics for benefits, we do politics for development. Our main agenda for election is more development works for people following the path of PM Modi”, said DyCM.

Citing an example of his Charilam Assembly Constituency, the minister said, “People have seen the condition of Charilam assembly constituency. What it was and what it is now, Now the scenario has changed. We work only for development. If you see it in terms of work then of course BJP will win the election. BJP will definitely win in seats where BJP karyakartas has worked actively for people”.

Dev Varma criticised the previous administration, claiming that although the BJP government is currently focusing on the improvement, the previous administration disregarded this Charilam Assembly Constituency.

“We have set up a stadium, model schools and among others. our party always believes in development and people are witnessing it”, he added.
