Union Home Minister Amit Shah to Address Two Rallies In Tripura Today

Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will address two electoral rallies in Tripura on February 6 ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.

The Home Minister will address at two election rallies in the South Tripura area and the Khowai district, respectively. Shah will also participate in a road show in the city of Agartala.

In the wake of Shah visiting the state, Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on February 4 inspected the preparation for Amit Shah’s rallies on February 6.

Saha went to both the rally locations in South Tripura’s Santirbazar and the Khowai district’s Khowai to make sure everything went off without a hitch.

It is important to note that the Union Home Minister is in the state for the second time this year.

He participated in two Rath Yatras earlier on January 5, one from South Tripura’s Sabroom and another from North Tripura’s Dharmanagar.

National president of the BJP JP Nadda recently paid a visit to the state and spoke at a public rally in Amarpur in the Gomti district.

The saffron party, which won overwhelmingly in 2018 is preparing to win again in Tripura and has partnered with its old ally Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) which has candidates running for five Assembly seats.

For the 60 Assembly seats in the northeastern state that will come up for election on February 17, the BJP has put forth 55 candidates.
