Tripura Polls: JP Nadda to Release BJP Manifesto Tomorrow

Guwahati: BJP national president JP Nadda will present the electoral platform for the Tripura legislative elections (February 9) on Thursday.

Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to campaign in Tripura on Saturday (February 11).

The voting for the 60-member Tripura legislative assembly is planned to take place on February 16 in a single phase.

The vote counting will be conducted on March 2.

During his second phase of electioneering in the state, BJP national president JP Nadda will unveil the party’s election platform for the Tripura legislative elections.

The opposition parties in Tripura have been heavily criticising the BJP for allegedly not carrying through the election pledges that the party made prior to the state’s 2018 assembly elections.

Nadda will speak at two public gatherings in Tripura after the BJP releases its election manifesto.

According to reports, Prime Minister Modi will address a massive rally in Udaipur on February 11 that will encompass 23 constituencies over three districts: South Tripura, Gomati and Sepahijala.

PM Narendra Modi will return to Tripura on February 13 to wrap up the BJP’s election campaigns. He will hold a rally in Dharmanagar that will involve 17 constituencies across three districts—North Tripura, Unakoti, and Dhalai.
