Police Launch Search Ops to Trace Victim’s Phone In Guwahati Kidnap-Murder Case

Guwahati: The Dispur Police conducted extensive search operations in Six Mile area in Guwahati on Saturday to find the mobile phone of murder and kidnap victim Biswajit Hazarika.

According to reports, Biswajit’s kidnappers threw his phone into the drain.

On October 9, Biswajit Hazarika was abducted in the Six Mile area while riding a rickshaw home. Ajay Kalita, the mastermind of the kidnap and murder case had thrown away his phone into a drain following the incident.

It should be noted that six persons have been arrested in connection with the murder and kidnapping case.

The accused have been identified as video editor of a news portal Debajit Deka, Ajay Kalita the mastermind, Pranab Ranghang, Sanjay Kumar Phagat, Paresh Chetri and Mayur Nath.

According to reports, miscreants murdered Biswajit Hazarika on October 23.

Sources claim that on October 23, criminals murdered Biswajit Hazarika.

The body of Biswajit was found in the Nellie area on November 2 after a month had passed. On February 9, the victim’s parents demanded an investigation into the incident and the arrest of the suspects who they believed were responsible for their son’s death.

Police Commissioner Diganta Barah of Guwahati gave a detailed explanation of the incident on February 13.
