Nagaland Assembly Elections: BJP President Temjen Imna Along wins from Alongtaki seat by big margin of 3500 plus votes

Guwahati: The Nagaland state BJP chief Temjen Imna Along won the Alongtaki constituency by a huge margin of more than 3,500 votes. The seat which is designated for Scheduled Tribes, is one of the most important ones in the Nagaland assembly.

Temjen Imna Along, who also serves as the state’s minister of tribal affairs and higher education, is a prominent candidate in the Nagaland assembly election and is well-known for his amusing social media posts. In the prior election, he defeated Benjongliba Aier of the NPF.

The Electoral Commission of India (ECI) estimates that 62.5 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in the Alongtaki seat. Temjen Imna Along, who is also the state BJP president, has a sizable Twitter fan base as a result of his amusing quips.

Temjen Imna Along ran in this election against J. Lanu Longchar of the JD(U). His victory is considered as a major boost for the BJP in Nagaland, which wants to grow its influence in the state.

Temjen Imna Along’s success is evidence of his popularity and his capacity to relate to Naga people. His second straight victory shows the public’s confidence in him and the BJP’s plan for Nagaland. He has pledged to strive for the state’s and its citizens’ improvement.
