Guwahati: Mystery shrouded the death of a youth whose body was found in Guwahati on Friday.
Reports emerged that the body of the youth was found under mysterious circumstance in the flyover connecting Guwahati Club and Stadium Road.
Meanwhile, officials identified the deceased youth as Lutfur Rahman who was a resident of Goalpara district in Assam.
The victim Lutfur Rahman had been reported missing for some time, officials informed.
Authorities suspect that he was murdered and his body was dumped on the flyover.
Prima facie, there were signs of assault and injuries on the body of the deceased, pointing towards murder, police said.
Meanwhile, Guwahati’s Paltanbazar Police have taken up the case and started an inquiry.
