Aaftab Is “Trained Chef”, Knew How To Preserve Body; Delhi Police Says In Court
Guwahati: Atab Amin Poonawala, the prime accused in the murder of Shraddha Walkar, is a “qualified cook,” according to the Delhi Police, who also claimed that he knows how to preserve flesh.
Aaftab Poonawala is a trained chef, the police have revealed to the Delhi court in Saket, where the hearing on the horrible murder case started today.
Aaftab had his training as a chef at the Taj Hotel, and the Delhi Police claim that he is exceptionally skilled at preserving flesh. According to Delhi Police, he had also ordered dry rice, incense sticks, and other items in an apparent effort to keep neighbours from becoming aware of unpleasant odours.
After committing the crime, Aaftab Poonawala started dating someone new and handed his new partner a ring, according to the Delhi Police’s testimony before Saket Court.
According to special public prosecutor Amit Prasad of the Delhi Police, the police described the complete course of the offence in court.
Aaftab Amin Poonawala, the prime accused in the murder of Shraddha Walkar in Delhi, has since changed attorneys, and all case materials have been given to his new Legal Aid Counsel (LAC).
Manish Khurana Kakkar, the additional session’s judge of Delhi’s Saket Court, gave the LAC time to submit advance arguments in the case and rescheduled the hearing. The following hearing will take place on March 20.
Aaftab Poonawala is accused of strangling his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar in May 2022 in the Mehrauli area of South Delhi. Then, he dismembered her body into 35 parts. Since November 12, 2022, Aaftab Poonawala has been in the care of the Delhi Police.
Aaftab was charged by Delhi Police on January 24 in the murder case under sections 302, 301, and other provisions of the Indian Criminal Code. The charge sheet was 6,629 pages long (IPC).
Delhi Police also performed a polygraph examination, a narcoanalysis test, and gathered DNA evidence in order to prove the claims against Aaftab Poonawala.
According to ANI, Delhi Police interviewed more than 150 witnesses and recorded their testimonies. The police have also obtained Aaftab’s voice sample.
