Guwahati: As many as 22 female workers were injured after a tragic road accident in Jorhat district of Assam on Saturday.
According to reports, the incident occurred near the Meleng tea estate in Teok.
Reportedly, the injuries were caused after the vehicle carrying the tea workers lost control and overturned on the side of the road.
It is learned that that tea workers were being transported to the estate for their daily work when the accident occurred.
However, all the injured women were immediately rushed to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH).
