Guwahati: The Hind Rakshak Sangathan in Indore has filed a police case against Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu for allegedly offending religious sensitivities and disseminating obscenity, police stated on March 27.
The complaint was made against the actress by Eklavya Singh Gaur, convenor of the Hind Rakshak Sangathan and the son of BJP MLA Malini Gaur.
In his case, Gaur claimed that on March 14, 2023 the actress posted a video on her Instagram.
“This video is of a fashion show where she was allegedly wearing an indecent dress”, said Gaur.
The footage which is said to be from a fashion show is what purportedly depicts her wearing an indecent outfit with a locket of Goddess Lakshmi Maa around her neck.
In addition, Gaur said that this was a deliberate effort to denigrate Sanatan Dharma.
