Assam: Guwahati to Host First-Ever IPL Match in Barsapara Stadium Today

Guwahati: Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings will play in Guwahati’s first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) match on April 5 at the Barsapara stadium.

The game is set to begin at 7:30 pm and with the gates opening at 5 pm.

A music and dance performance will be held at 5:30 before the match starts, as per the Assam Cricket Association. Additionally, there will be a laser show for viewers to enjoy during the innings break.

Following the IPL match, the Guwahati police have arranged elaborate parking arrangements and issued rules for traffic flow.

Only car pass holders will be permitted entry into the stadium grounds in accordance with the rules.

Additionally, the stadium has been properly equipped with food and water facilities.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals are aiming for another victory over Punjab Kings after a fantastic victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening match of the lucrative tournament.

They have the capacity to alter the nature of the game at any time by coming to RR. Jos Buttler is capable of giving RR a strong start and Yashaswi Jaiswal supports him effectively.

The high-scoring match can be explained by the fact that batters are anticipated to benefit from the Baraspara Cricket Stadium’s surface. But, dew can come into play later on making any score above 200 a difficult total.
