Assam: 600 Yaba Tablets Seized in South Salmara

Guwahati: Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested one drug smuggler and seized Yaba Tablets worth Rs 3 lakh in South Salmara district of Assam.

BSF and Guwahati Frontier conducted a search operation against trans-border crimes and drug trafficking on April 6. They apprehended a drug smuggler with illegal Yaba Tablets at Assam-Bangladesh international border.

According to reports, the smuggler was arrested in a village in the South Salmara district of Assam with 600 Yaba Tablets worth Rs 3,00,000.

”The consignment was about to be smuggled from India to Bangladesh,” the officials added.

Later, the arrested smuggler and the seized tablets were handed over to the police for further investigation.
