CDS General Anil Chauhan Visits Forward Areas in North Bengal

Guwahati: Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan visited the Hasimara Air Force Station and nearby advanced locations on April 8 to reviewed the region’s infrastructure development and logistics readiness.

The CDS who was accompanied by the GOC of the Trishakti Corps of the Indian Army talked with the troops stationed in the outlying areas in great detail and was impressed by their professionalism and strong morale.

Later, CDS went to the Trishakti Corps’ headquarters in Sukna where he received a briefing on the operational situation along Sikkim’s northern frontiers.

The establishment was praised by CDS for assuring force preservation while also assisting the local government and populace during weather situations and natural calamities like the recent avalanche in East Sikkim.

He instructed the formation to concentrate on working out hard and to always be on guard.

He also emphasized the need for soldiers to be current on developing cyberthreats, countermeasures and information technology trends.
