Assam’s Dihing Express Hima Das & Amlan Borgohain Won Gold at 3rd Indian Grand Prix

Guwahati: Amlan Borgohain and Hima Das two sprinters from Assam, have once more brought honour to the state by their outstanding athletic accomplishments.

At the third Indian Grand Prix which was held at Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava Stadium Amlan Borgohain won two gold medals in the men’s 100 and 200-meter races.

He won both competitions with times of 10.50 seconds for the 100-meter and 21.22 seconds for the 200-meter run. Amlan made the nation proud with his great achievement by showcasing extraordinary talent and perseverance.

At the same competition, sprinter Hima Das won the gold medal in the women’s 200-meter race. She completed the race in 23.77 seconds, leaving her rivals in the dust.

The ‘Dhing Express,’ an Assamese athlete who is 21 years old has been in fantastic shape recently and has been steadily lowering her times. Her most recent accomplishment is proof of her commitment to the sport and hard effort.

Indian athletes put up some exhilarating performances at the third Indian Grand Prix with many setting new personal records. The competition provided these athletes with an excellent platform to display their abilities and it was encouraging to see so many of them perform so well.

In addition to the performances by Amlan Borgohain and Hima Das there were additional standout ones.

Indian sports enthusiasts had lot to rejoice about after the third Indian Grand Prix which was a big success. The future of Indian athletics appears to be quite promising especially with brilliant athletes like Hima Das leading the charge.
