MP: Two Goods Trains Collide at Singhpur Railway Station

Guwahati: A terrible train accident took place in Madhya Pradesh. The accident took place at Singhpur railway station in Shahdol district of the state. Two goods train collided in the accident.

According to reports, some coaches from the two trains were snapped and fell on another train.

The incident took place around 6.45am on Wednesday. According to eyewitnesses at the spot, a goods train was standing at Singhpur station when another goods train came from behind and hit. This led to the horrific accident.

Reportedly, the two drivers of the goods train got stuck in the engine of the train after the incident took place. Efforts were made to rescue them from there but one of the drivers was reportedly dead.

According to reports, the engine caught fire soon after the incident took place. Ambulances and health department teams rushed to the spot after getting information about the horrific accident. Top railway officials were also present at the spot.

Trains have reportedly been suspended from the Singhpur line. And no train has been able to come from there. Train services are likely to resume normal only after the railway line is opened.

Meanwhile, rescue operations are still underway. Two persons are said to be still trapped in the engine. It is yet to be ascertained when the train services will be normal. Top railway service officials and firefighters are present at the spot.

According to reports so far, two persons were seriously injured in the horrific accident and two of the injured have been sent to hospital while two others are stuck in the engine of the train.
