Leopard on the Prowl Attacks Two in Fatasil in Guwahati
Guwahati, 12 May: A leopard was on the prowl when it attacked at least two people, including a woman, in Guwahati’s Fatasil Ambari area on Friday. The injured were rushed for medical attention at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The injured have been identified as Suman Kumar Singh and Munair Devi, who sustained wounds to their hands, heads, and other body parts.
In another leopard attack in Assam’s Dibrugarh last month, a female worker in a tea garden suffered significant injuries. At the Tamulbari Tea Estate in Lahowal, the occurrence was reported.
According to accounts, the leopard on the prowl assaulted the tea garden worker as she was picking tea leaves in the garden.
Minu Majhi, the injured tea garden worker, was later sent to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) in the Dibrugarh town for medical attention.
