Assam Govt Splits 31 Districts Into 5 Groups For Third Deputy Commissioners’ Meeting
Guwahati, 14 May: The third deputy commissioners’ conference will take place in Tinsukia from 15 to May 17 of 2023 at the convention centre beside the bypass. According to reports, 31 districts of Assam have been divided into 5 groups and discussions with the deputy commissioners would take place in these groups.
On May 15, the first day of the conference five various locations will host five different group meetings. The Dibrugarh district will host three of the group meetings while the Tinsukia district will host two of them.
The group meeting of group no. 1 will be held at Digboi Club, Digboi. The group consists of the districts Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Jorhat, Golaghat and Majuli.
The group meeting for group 2 will take place at the conference room of the Dibrugarh University Guest House in Dibrugarh which includes the districts Nagaon (with Hojai), Morigaon and Darrang.
The group meeting of Group 3 consists of Kamrup, Kamrup(M), Nalbari, Barpeta (with Bajali), Bongaigaon, Goalpara, Dhubri and South Salmara districts will be held at the OIL Conference Hall, Duliajan, Dibrugarh.
The meeting of Group 4 representing Sonitpur (with Biswanath), Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Cachar, Karimganj & Hailakandi districts will be held at CTA Guest House, Digboi of Tinsukia.
The group meeting of Group no. 5 to be attended by the Deputy Commissioners of Chirang, Kokhrajhar, Baksa(with Tamulpur), Udalguri, Dima Hasao, Karbi Anglong & West Karbi Anglong districts will be held at the Conference Hall of Water Resource Dept, Dibrugarh.
One of the state ministers as well as a group of senior officials will attend each group meeting. Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will go to the DC conference at the Convention Centre on the Tinsukia Bypass on May 16 and 17.
