Man Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Air Hostess On Board
National Desk, 15 May: A male passenger has been arrested after reportedly molested an air hostess while intoxicated on board a Dubai-Amritsar flight, reports emerged on Monday.
According to reports, the male passenger have been identified as Rajindra Singh hailing from Jalandhar in Punjab got into a furious argument with the air hostess and allegedly molested her.
The police was quoted by PTI saying, “The air hostess brought the incident to the crew’s notice. The accused was allegedly in a drunken state.”
The crew members subsequently informed the Amritsar control room about the information after receiving it and the airline’s assistant security manager reported the incident to the authorities.
Reportedly, Singh was arrested after arriving at Punjab’s Shri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport.
He has been charged under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 354 (attack or criminal force to a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to degrade the modesty of a woman).
