Assam: ADC Convoy Hits Two Students in Majuli, 1 Dead
Guwahati, 19 May: In a tragic road accident, two students were hit by the convoy of an Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) in Assam’s Majuli.
The tragic incident took place in Borguri Tiniali of Majuli.
According to reports, a 14 years old youth lost his life and another student was severely injured in the accident.
The deceased was a class seven student at the Borguri Jorbil Rupjyoti ME School. Additionally, the other youth who was severely injured in the accident is also the student of same school.
Both of the students were standing in front of a store in Borguri Tiniali waiting, when they were struck by a Bolero with the licence plate AS03X1003 which was travelling from Jengraimukh.
The injured student was sent immediately to the civil hospital, Garmur Pitambar Dev Goswami. As a result of the incident, tensions are currently high in the hospital.
Earlier on April 8, a young person was reportedly injured in Assam’s Dibrugarh after being struck by a Union Minister Rameswar Teli’s Convoy.
The incident took place near Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) and Deepjyoti Bhattacharya, a youth from Barman Nagar was severely injured.
The accused who was a part of the minister’s motorcade allegedly threatened the injured youth to keep him from getting assistance. A complaint has been made in this matter by the injured youth’s family.
