Second Largest Flyover of India to be Constructed in Guwahati City
Guwahati, 20 May: India’s second largest flyover will be constructed in Guwahati city of Assam. The proposed four-lane flyover will be constructed on GNB Road of the city which will connect the points of Reserve Bank of India, Panbazar and FCCI Godown in Noonmati.
The flyover will also have a two lane extended arm towards Rajgarh road. And the flyover will be 5.4 km long.
Meanwhile, Assam Cabinet approved Rs 852.68 crore for the construction of the four-lane elevated corridor on GNB road. And the amount has been approved under SOPD for the financial year 2023-24.
Following a meeting of the Assam cabinet in Jorhat, it was decided to build a new flyover in Guwahati which will be the second-largest flyover in the nation will be at Guwahati, near Noonmati-Dighalipukhuri.
Notably, the project tender submission procedure has already started.
