Entertainment Desk, 7 June: The producers of the highly anticipated Prabhas-starring movie “Adipurush” have revealed that one seat in each theatre will remain unsold throughout the movie’s showing and will be devoted to Lord Hanuman with only a few days until its release.
Adipurush which will be released on June 16 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada theatres is being directed by Om Raut.
The creators have done all possible to promote their ambitious project before it is released. They said that they would reserve one seat in each theatre showing for Lord Hanuman out of reverence and devotion.
Their statement read, “Lord Hanuman appears wherever the Ramayana is recited. It is our belief. Respecting this belief, every theatre screening Prabhas’ Rama-starrer Adipurush will reserve one seat for Lord Hanuman without selling it. Hear the history of paying respects to the greatest devotee of Rama. We started this great work in an unknown way. We all must see the Adipurusha built with great grandeur and grandeur in the presence of Lord Hanuman.”
Internet users have responded differently to the unusual choice made by the producers of the mythical movie.While some people were touched by the gesture, the majority of people have viciously mocked the squad calling it nothing more than a marketing ploy.
While many are praising this initiative taken by team Adipurush, a few netizens are also trolling the makers of epic drama for the same by making memes and jokes about it on Twitter.
Taking a dig at the Adipurush team, one Twitter user said that her religious feeling has been hurt by the maker’s decision as they have not left seats vacated for Lord Rama and Sita Mata.
