Mamata Banerjee Condemns Manipur Incident, Slams PM Modi as “Merchant of Human Killings”

National Desk, 21st July: In a strong expression of condemnation, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, labeling him as a “merchant of human killings” in response to the disturbing incident in Manipur.

The West Bengal Chief Minister questioned PM Modi, asking if the incident in Manipur didn’t affect him even slightly. She further accused him of pointing fingers at West Bengal while lacking love and sympathy for sisters and mothers.

CM Mamata Banerjee didn’t hold back in her criticism, stating, “Till when daughters will be burnt, Dalits, minorities will be killed, schedule caste or people will be killed? You are the merchants of human killings; you torture to kill human beings. We will not leave Manipur, North Eastern sisters are our sisters.”

Meanwhile, the Manipur Police have made significant progress in the case, with four main accused arrested in connection with the horrific incident. Two women were paraded naked and allegedly gang-raped, and the video of the incident went viral on the internet.

According to official comments from the state police force, Manipur Police is conducting raids and making significant efforts to promptly catch the remaining offenders.
