Guwahati, 25t July: A horrifying incident unfolded in Guwahati’s Ganeshpara area on Monday night, where an auto rickshaw driver, Pinku Das, lost his life allegedly due to a brutal attack by another driver, Tarasan Ali. The tragedy occurred after an altercation erupted between the two drivers, resulting in a violent and fatal outcome.
According to sources, the altercation took a sinister turn as Tarasan Ali bludgeoned Pinku Das to death with a stone. The reason behind the heated dispute is yet to be determined.
The incident took place after both drivers had reportedly consumed alcohol, and the exact cause of the brawl remains unknown. Witnesses recount that the situation escalated rapidly, and Ali’s rage led him to grab a medium-sized stone from the road, inflicting fatal blows on Pinku Das, who tragically succumbed to his injuries on the spot.
In the aftermath of the brutal attack, the police were alerted, and the Fatasil police took immediate action, apprehending Tarasan Ali. He is now in police custody, and a case has been registered against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
