Golaghat Police Detains Brother and Mother of Prime Accused in Horrific Triple Murder Case
Guwahati, 27th July: Following Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s visit to grieving family members of the victims of the tragic triple murder case, Golaghat Police sprang into action and detained the principal accused’s brother and mother for questioning on Wednesday.
Ankita Ghosh, the family’s sole survivor, previously told reporters that she made a complaint at the police station in 2022, stating that the mother of the lead accused beat her by yanking her hair while the eldest brother kicked her stomach. However, Ankita went on to say that the police took no action at the time.
After Ankita’s explosive statement was reported in the media, the police immediately detained the prime accused’s brother, Hizbul Rahman, who had been on the run since the incident took place, along with his mother, Saleha Begum, for questioning.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Sarma, during his visit to the bereaved family, assured them that he would ensure severe punishment for all those involved in the horrific crime.
The investigation into this deeply disturbing triple murder case is ongoing, and authorities are diligently working to gather evidence and unravel the full extent of the tragedy. The swift actions taken by the police reflect their commitment to bringing justice to the victims and their grieving family members.
