Assam Triple Murder Case – Prime Accused’s Police Custody Extended

Guwahati, 4th August: The lower court in Golaghat, Assam, granted a two-day extension to the police custody of the prime accused, Nazibur Rahman, in the triple murder case on Friday.

Nazibur Rahman, who brutally killed three members of a family at Hindi School Road in Golaghat on July 25, was produced before the lower court after the completion of his initial 10-day police custody.

The accused surrendered to the police along with a 9-month-old missing infant, with whom he allegedly eloped after committing the heinous crime. The victims were identified as Sanjeev Ghosh (father-in-law of the accused), Junu Ghosh (mother-in-law of the accused), and Sanghamitra Ghosh (wife of the accused).

Subsequently, the police also arrested the brother and mother of the prime accused based on allegations made by the sole survivor of the murdered family.
