Guwahati, 8th August: In a swift response to a threatening phone call, local authorities apprehended a person on Tuesday for attempting to blackmail the Additional District Commissioner (ADC) of Sonitpur district in Assam, Pankaj Borah.
Sources reveal that the accused had reportedly contacted ADC Pankaj Borah over the phone and issued threats with the intention of blackmailing him. Prompt action was taken by law enforcement upon discovering this incident.
The individual is responsible for the threatening phone call was apprehended by the police from Rangapara.
