Guwahati, 15th August: A horrifying incident of uxoricide has left a community in shock as a woman lost her life in a brutal attack by her husband. The incident occurred near Rani Gate, close to the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBI) on the outskirts of Guwahati.
The accused, identified as Binoy Rabha, is a vegetable vendor. A heated argument between Binoy and his wife, Bajanti Rabha, took a deadly turn when Binoy reportedly stabbed his wife multiple times in a fit of anger. Tragically, Bajanti succumbed to her injuries and lost her life.
The motive behind the argument and subsequent attack is not yet clear and is under investigation. Following the crime, the accused fled the scene and is currently evading law enforcement.
Local authorities from the Azara police have launched a manhunt to locate and apprehend Binoy Rabha. The victim’s body has been taken for post-mortem examination.
