Six Accused Granted Bail in Rs 105 Crore SCERT Scam Case
Guwahati, 16th August: Six suspects have been granted bail by the Special Judge’s Court in the continuing probe into the Rs 105 crore State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) fraud in Assam. Bhaskar Jyoti Hazarika, Keshab Gogoi, Sonmoni Nath, Joy Chandra Lakhar, David Adhikari, and Chareng Mor are among the defendants who have been given bail.
The court, however, rejected the bail pleas of Ajay Pal Singh and Rajesh Kumar Joshi. Those granted bail are required to deposit Rs 50,000 each along with two sureties.
The SCERT scam has been under investigation, and these developments mark a significant turn in the legal proceedings.
