Police Raid Suspended APS Subhalakshmi Dutta’s Residence in Assault Case Investigation

Guwahati, 11th September: Sivasagar Police conducted a raid at the suspended APS Subhalakshmi Dutta’s official residence in Nazira as part of their ongoing investigation into the assault case. The accused police officer was brought to Nazira, the neighborhood that houses her government building.

The raid, overseen by the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), aimed to uncover evidence supporting the allegations made against her. During the attack, several items related to the alleged assault on her domestic help were recovered.

On September 9, Subhalakshmi Dutta surrendered herself to Sivasagar Police in connection with the assault case and was subsequently remanded to three-day police custody. She had been absconding since August 26, following a lawsuit filed against her by Anima Praja, her domestic help, who alleged attempted murder and brutal mistreatment during her tenure in Dutta’s Nazira residence.

The investigation into this case continues, with authorities actively seeking justice for the victim.
