Guwahati, 20th September: A devastating road accident in Mariani, Assam, near the Nagaland border, has resulted in the loss of 10 lives. The accident occurred when a Tata Sumo vehicle and a truck collided head-on, sending both vehicles tumbling into a deep 200-foot gorge.
The area was reportedly experiencing heavy rain, leading to limited visibility on underdeveloped roads, which may have contributed to the accident.
Local police swiftly arrived at the scene to initiate rescue operations. While the truck’s driver and handyman survived the crash, they are said to be in critical condition.
