Assam: Ferry Carrying Passengers and Vehicles Left Stranded in Brahmaputra River
Guwahati, 21st September: A ferry named MV Digaru, with 63 passengers and several vehicles on board, was left stranded in the Brahmaputra River after departing from Majuli in Assam on Thursday.
The ferry had set sail from Nimati Ghat and was en route to Kamalabari Ghat when it encountered difficulties and became stranded in the river.
Authorities dispatched another ferry from Kamalabari Ghat to rescue the passengers and vehicles stranded on MV Digaru.
Efforts are underway to ensure the safety and well-being of those aboard the stranded ferry.
