Guwahati: Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre Probes Cyber Crimes

Guwahati, 21st September: A team from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (ICCCC) in New Delhi has arrived in Guwahati to investigate cases related to identity theft, fraud, and cybercrimes in the city. This development follows a major cybercrime case recently uncovered in Guwahati.

During the investigation, a police operation was conducted in the presence of arrested individuals Rajan Sidana from Ludhiana and Divyam Arora from Delhi at Megha Plaza in the Basistha locality of Guwahati. Several objectionable documents were seized during this operation.

Previously, 26 individuals remanded to police custody for interrogation in connection with the case were produced before the court. The Guwahati Police’s crime branch, responsible for the arrests, was granted custody of 16 of the 26 suspects, while the remaining 10 were placed in judicial custody.
